Stamford-based company seeking a Freelance Designer. This is a freelance to full-time position for the right candidate.

The Designer must be a creative professional who brings a high level of design ability to the organization. As a member of the Marketing and Corporate Communications team, this person must have a good knowledge of design, and strive to bring strong, consistent, and unique creative to life. The Designer must be able to work well in a team structure with the ability to articulate their solutions within the organization.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

The Designer should have a strong, self-motivated personality, with the ability to work as part of the creative team as well as independently. The applicant should be able to independently attend brainstorming sessions, and provide creative solutions. Candidate must also have good communications skills and positive attitude.

The Designer’s progress will be overseen by the Senior Designer of Marketing & Corporate Communication.

Position Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree or similar.
• 2-3 years of professional experience.
• Knowledge of branding and brand strategy.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
• Ability to clearly communicates ideas visually through sketching and computer generated ideation.
• Strong ability to work with typography, photography and computer generated graphics.
• Must be competent in Adobe CS4 or CS5 (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) working on an Apple computer.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PPT, is a must.
