TITLE: Graphic Designer
LOCATION: Company Headquarters in New York City
REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing Development
COMPANY BACKGROUND:
A private business incubator based in the plaza district of midtown Manhattan is looking for an experienced Web/Graphic Designer to join a fun and vibrant work environment.
This candidate will work together with a talented and motivated team of entrepreneurs, marketers and technologists to define crisp and easily navigated member experiences, which balance the presentation of content and merchant discounts for the web as well as digital magazines and print materials. We are looking for an excellent designer with an eye for user experience, to manage the process from the earliest stage of concept and framework to final design and implementation.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in graphic design or web design
• 1-3 years experience in graphic/interactive design
• Strong talent for all elements of design, layout and typography
• Have a love of detail oriented work
• Superior knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Have a strong understanding of latest web technologies and their capabilities
• Fundamental understanding of GUI design and intuitive navigation schemes
• Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience with IA
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to keep abreast of innovative design trends and technologies
Responsibilities
Design visually attractive interfaces and web pages with an eye toward usability, support marketing initiatives with promotions, banners and build digital magazines as well as print and direct marketing materials.
• Help to define our visual language for member sites
• Look for ways to evolve the user experience through smart design solutions
• Work collaboratively with our technology team to ensure faithful execution of designs
• Create fluid e-commerce initiatives and assist with the creative process from original concepts to final implementation
